Top Photographer(s) of 2009 Year

The top photographer competition was considered a tie this year -
with 17 top pictures over the year 2009

Betty Eich

Diane Pattie

Betty Eich came to her passion for photography after she retired from the academic world four years ago.  She loves photography because, as a photographer, one never stops learning. Every day brings new challenges: learning more about the camera, more about ; the composition of a photo, more about improving the photo in Photoshop, and more about printing the photo. National parks are some of her favorite photography subjects, and of all the parks, Yellowstone is at the top of the list. Betty has her own business that includes both teaching Photoshop Elements in one-on-one tutorial sessions in people's homes as well as selling prints of her photos.  What could be better than combining photography, art, and teaching?

Diane has her own portrait photography business which includes specializing in dog portraits but she comes from experience and enjoyment in all types of subjects. She was an 18 year member of the Toledo Camera Club and had won many awards for her photography in the Northwestern Ohio area before moving to the Villages in 2004.

She now shoots all digital, currently using a Canon 20D.

Below are the winning pictures for each..
