Miscellaneous Items for the Photographer

Various Portable Hard Drive Storage Devices: Shooting a lot of pictures in RAW format on a vacation can be made easier if you download your full cards to a USB portable hard drive. Many contain slots for the various type of cards for all types of digital cameras.

Op/Tech Bino/Cam Harness - The web harness which makes carrying your camera much easier is available from this web site. Other sites can be found by searching for that name. It runs about $13 + tax and shipping. Another source online is Camera Shop

Basic Photo Editing Programs - This page contains numerous sources for free or almost free programs for photo editing.

Photo(File) Recovery Program - Photo Recovery from the web site http://www.recover98.com/ There may be less expensive options - this software was forty-some dollars - but the usual file restore software I had was not able to recover the jpeg files. This software also works with many other types of files. (Submitted by Ken Goff)

www.dickblick.com sells double mats for $3.99 each and single mats for $1.99. Use the key word "mats" and go to 'Blick Ready Mat Singles or doubles'
