To accomplish this mission our objectives are to:

• learn more about photography, through hands on experience
• exchange ideas among members
• receive instruction from qualified photographers
• sharpen skills thru participation in twice monthly contests judged by members.

Expensive cameras and computer equipment are not required for club membership or contest participation. Photo club members use digital cameras and film cameras ranging from simple "point and shoot" devices, to complex single lens reflex cameras. Attention to composition, focus, exposure and lighting, photographic methods and techniques are more important than the camera used. "The magic is in the magician, not the wand."

Twice monthly photo contests ensures maximum opportunity for all members to participate. Photos are critiqued on the basis of focus, composition, interest, impact, and story. Contests center around specific topics to encourage members to test their skills and creativity.
