The Villages Photography Club met on September 19, 2007 at La Hacienda.

The meeting was called to order by the President Bob Athanasiou. The minutes of the last meeting were read and approved. Judy Crosby, treasurer reported a balance of 1026.79 on hand.

We voted to have the Mar 5th Showcase restricted to Village Residents so the room is free to the club.

The club had a Nikon film camera and 3 lens donated and Paul is going to look into posting them on e-bay, with proceeds to go to the club.

It was approved to buy more frames to display pictures at Little Bits.

Jim Sloane motioned to have a new category added to the competition. It would be called Pictorial. There would be no restriction on when the picture was taken. There will be no increase in pictures because each photographer still can only submit 2 shots. It could be 2 in either the assigned topic category or 2 in pictorial, or 1 in each category. The 2 categories will be judged separately. This motion was passed by the club.

The committee to assign the topics for next year are John White, Harry Modine, Margaret Shark and Paul Gaecke.

Photo of the year will be picked at the 2nd meeting in January. Photographer of the year will be picked by adding the amount of 11's and 12's each member received.

Frank Kraft did a travel log of his trip to China. It was very well received.

The Competition Topic was Old Cars :

High Honors went to –Barb A. “ Touring in Wyoming” and Arne Thesen “1937 Talbot Teardrop”
