I can still remember the first time I saw a photo that had a texture applied. I immediately fell in love! (A texture is just an image added to another image using layers in Photoshop.) I love how a texture can replace an ugly or cluttered background with beauty. Or how a texture can change the tone and mood of a photo. But mostly I love how using a texture allows me to be creative and make my photo one of a kind. I have a large texture collection of purchased textures as well as ones I make myself, and part of the fun is selecting just the right texture to give my photos some artistic flair.
