The Villages Photography Club will recognize two members as Photographer(s) of the Year. Since we hold color contests as well as creative contests, there will be an award for each of these categories.

Competition Guidelines

There will be at least 16 scored contests throughout the club year (September - May). You are allowed to submit images into the color contests as well as the creative contests. To compete for photographer of the year, you must have entered a minimum of 10 contests. To be clear, this means 10 color contests or 10 creative contests. You do NOT need to compete in both. However, you may compete in both. Your top ten scores in a category will be used.

Each time you enter a contest, you receive a score. Your final score will be the total of your best 10 scores. If you entered more than 10 contests, your lower scores will be disregarded. An example of top 10 scores:

7.8 + 8.1 + 7.5 + 8.5 + 7.9 + 7.2 + 7.4 + 8.2 + 7.4 + 7.9 = 77.9 (final score)

This final score of 77.9 would compete with all other photographers in the same category for Photographer of the Year.

The winner will be announce at the year end party in May.
